I was amazed when I saw this (forget where), had to go and hunt it down… turns out, Wim Wauters, aka SilentStorm on the Avant Window Navigator Forum is releasing this absolutely FANTASTIC goodie to the public very soon, hopefully in a few days.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this… stacks for my iPhone makes it easy to keep things decluttered, I’m sure this will have the same effect for my Linux machine as well.

Kudos to Wim, as well as Timon – the original author of Stacks for AWN.

So, so sexy…. ahh.

Cool but I’m lazy as heck and don’t want to build something updated this frequently from source. When will awn hit the gutsy or etch repos?

jambarama – there’s a script floating around that will recompile awn for you…

just throw it into a bootup script or weekly cron job and viola – no need to build it every time there’s an update.

The stacks applet is really, really cool. It’s exactly what I was searching for – and it looks amazing!
But I have a problem with my dual-head setup: the stacks do not fit on the screen AWN is on – they split over both screens if AWN is too wide.

Has anyone a solution for this?
